Exciting Personal News
I passed my three year developmental trauma course!
For the past three years, alongside setting up Liberare Consulting and writing a book, I have been studying to become a practitioner in developmental trauma therapy. This course has been transformational for me both personally and professionally and I am beyond thrilled to be able to use my new knowledge and skills to help others transform their lives.
As a self-confessed nosy person, I have had a lifelong interest in helping people reflect, develop and to become better versions of themselves. Having trained as a coach 20 years ago, I found that many of my coaching and leadership development clients needed to work at a deeper level and I didn't have the skills or confidence to support them.
Whilst the work was no doubt helpful, and often helped them look at things differently or develop new skills, it didn't often have the long-lasting transformational effect that I or they were looking for.
But not anymore! Now I can happily work with people to set them free from the underlying behaviours, mindsets and habits that hold them back.
I believe that developmental trauma applies to all of us to varying degrees. If you are curious and want to know more, scroll down to the thought leadership section where you will find a link to an article I've written on the subject.

Self-sabotage diagnostic
First Peek At Our Latest Diagnostic!
Have you ever wondered how you might be holding yourself back? How some of your habits or behaviours might get in the way of you living your best life?
My good friend Claire and I have been developing a diagnostic that helps you identify the behaviours or self-saboteurs that can get in the way of us living our authentic lives and achieving our full potential.
The full 60 question version is to be used with our clients as part of our coaching, membership and retreats, but we have developed a 5 minute mini version that gives you a sneak peek into your top self-saboteurs.
And you, our lucky community, are the first to get access to this mini survey.
Follow this link to get access. Once you have completed the survey you will receive an email with your results.
It's brand spanking new, so please drop us a line with your thoughts when you've done it - we'd love to hear your feedback.

Being Free
Your Sanctuary for Personal Growth
I have been applying the learning from my developmental trauma course with my existing clients for some time now. This has allowed me to bring together my 20+ years of coaching/leadership development experience with an understanding of developmental trauma, supported by my love of personal development and wellness that I have been pursuing for many years.
This means we have been able to quietly develop some new offers that will allow our clients to work at a deeper and more transformational level.
Liberare means 'to free' in Italian and we have always had the aim of helping individuals and organisations free themselves from the things that are getting in their way.
Most of our work to date is done with organisations or with individuals where their development is sponsored/paid for by their business.
But there are many people who want to undertake personal development on their own terms, focussing on what they want to develop, how they want to do it, and to their own timescales.
This has led us to develop 'Being Free' which is a range of offers that are aimed directly at individuals rather than organisations. They are at a different price point and provide a range of ways to engage with the Being Free approach.

How Does Developmental Trauma Influence Behaviour at Work?
You might think that developmental (or complex) trauma is rare and there is no need for discussing or understanding how it plays out in the workplace.
That is not our experience, and we explain why in a blog post here.

What is Coaching?
It seems like such a simple question, but if you asked 50 coaches, you would probably get 50 different answers.

I Haven't Been Entirely Honest With You by Miranda Hart
You might be surprised to see us recommending a book by Comedian Miranda Hart, but if you've seen any TV over the last week or so you've probably seen her talking about her new book, where she talks about her chronic illness, and what she has done to recover. I am reading it right now, and I can happily say it is very good, and well worth a read for anyone interested in the relationship between mental and physical health - you can buy it here.
